Lifetime Return Policy

At ANY point in the dog's life for ANY reason, you will return the dog to the breeder (Lana Leguía) if you can no longer care for the dog. No questions. No judgements. No fee. None of my dogs will end up in shelters. They will always have a home with me. Under no circumstance should a dog from Shimmermint Siberians be given to a shelter, rescue or other third party of any kind. I will legally pursue this. Do not post on facebook or craigslist looking to rehome a Shimmermint Siberian dog - I will take them NO QUESTIONS ASKED. Do not attempt to flip the dog. I will find out. If you would like the dog to go to a family member or trusted friend, contact me, we can work together to figure out what is best for the dog.

AKC Registration Policy

All puppies will be defaulted to a LIMITED registration. This means you may register your dog with American Kennel Club and compete in all performance AKC events. You cannot compete in conformation events or register litters on a limited registration. If you are interested in being a show home or a breeder, please fill out this form to be considered. Full registration is not given out lightly. You must either be an experienced breeder or be open to mentorship with possible co-ownership. Full registration is not guaranteed and is up to my discretion as the breeder.

You may choose your dog's registered name and call name, but I will be registering those names on my end to ensure registration is done correctly and with Shimmermint as a kennel prefix. Your dog's registered name is a completely unique name in the AKC registry. This name is likely a long fun name. Your dog's call name is the name you call your dog everyday like Max, Bella, Spot, etc.

Microchip Policy

All puppies will be microchipped at time of their first vaccinations. My information, as the breeder, will remain permanently on the microchip for the dog's lifetime. Your information will be added after transfer of ownership is completed. This means both mine and your contact information will be on microchip accounts. This is to ensure the dog never becomes lost to the shelter system for any reason.

Purchasing a Puppy Policy

All prospective puppy buyers will need to:

• Fill out a puppy application.

• Be prepared to show license (I will take a picture of the front) at the time signing the agreement.

• Signatures will be real and done in person.

• All contracts will be notarized by a neutral third party.
